Belle Climbs the Rope

The Black Void - Episode 43

Belle grabs the rope. She is not very good at climbing ropes, but if it gets her out of the black void what other choice did she have? The minute she grasps the rope, someone or something on the other end pulls her up. That is how Belle found herself on the flagstone covered floor of a big stone basement, facing a tall man in expensive black woollen pants and a long black woollen trench coat. On his head is a white straw fedora that Belle would have, under other circumstances, considered a cool hat.

"So what happened to Charlie, who was supposed to deliver the diamonds?" asks the cool hat.

Belle blinks. She didn't know Charlie and couldn't this jerk in the cool hat see she was just a kid.

  1. Belle says: "There aren't any diamonds in the freezer. Just ice cream!"
  2. Belle says: "You have the wrong person. My name is Belle, not Charlie."
