Gustav's making a big mistake keeping me at his mansion. I privately
resolve that I will try to kill him eventually, preferably in such
a way that it isn't traceable to me. I'll need to bide my time, build up
a level of trust with him, his close friends and associates, and the rest
of his bodyguards and staff. It could take months, or even years, before
I have both the means and the opportunity to launch my plan. I'm not sure
what the details will end up as, but whatever they are, Gustav will
pay for what he's done. He, and his entire organization, must be
destroyed.
Until I'm ready, however, I'll have to play my role. So, I recoil with disgust (not hard, given the circumstances) "So long as you don't hurt my friends, I have no choice, but to obey." I say in what I hope is a convincing tone. "Smart girl." To his lead bodyguard he says "Take her back to the mansion. See to it that she's prepared. The pirate captain, Krenzel, will be arriving later tonight, and staying at the mansion while we conduct business this week. When he gets here, be sure to let him know she's available." The bodyguard nods, and begins pushing me along towards the mansion, while Gustav heads off in another direction.
