I go up to my room and open one of the two numerology books. Apparently
numerology is a branch of divination, in other words attempting to
foretell the future by means of the occult. I'm a little surprised that
our school library has such a book. Maybe whoever ordered it just assumed
that numerology was something to do with mathematics.
I learn that each letter has a numeric value that provides a related cosmic vibration. The sum of the numbers in your birth date and the sum of the values derived from the letters in your full name are supposed to provide an interrelation of vibrations. These numbers show a great deal about character, purpose in life, what motivates, and where talents may lie. I spend the next thirty minutes in calculation. My full name converts to an "Expression Number" of 11. Apparently this result is associated with idealistic concepts and rather spiritual issues. I have the capacity to be inspirational, and the ability to lead merely by my own example. My intuition is very strong; in fact, many psychic people and those involved in occult studies are Elevens. I possess a good mind with keen analytical ability. The negative aspects include a sense of nervous tension; I may be too sensitive and temperamental. I tend to dream a lot and may be more of a dreamer than a doer. Fantasy and reality sometimes become intermingled and I can be very impractical.
