The Third Floor of the Seventh House

Jacques realises that if he wants to get answers to the strange goings-on
on Loire, his best bet is to explore the third floor, so he goes up the
second flight of stairs with the ever present cream carpetting. As he
reaches the top, a sudden wave of nausea hits him and it takes him a few
minutes to recover. "What in heaven's name was that?" he wondered
aloud. He now took this moment to have a look around. To his horror he appeared to be surrounded by a starfield! Even the stairs appeared to have disappeared. And yet, he could breathe. He could walk around. It had to be just an illusion. The instant he thought that the scene changed. He heard a screaming noise and he looked aghast as a steam locomotive appeared to bear down on him. He knew this couldn't be real either, but he found he couldn't move and screamed. This scene vanished and he found himself in a large cream coloured room. There were no windows. The room was completely bare. Bewildered and confused, he yelled, "Whoever's behind this, show yourself! Why are you doing all these strange things?"
