"It's me, Harry" I whisper.
Seconds later, he lets me enter. The room, which I once slept in myself, [2074] is small, and lit dimly by a single oil lamp near the bedside. I take a seat at the edge of the bed. "Sorry for waking you, Don." "No, it's ok." Don says, stifilng a yawn. "Is something the matter?" I explain to him about the nightmare, and my feelings about having killed two people. He sits beside me on the bed, nodding in understanding. When I've finished, I am shaking again and on the verge of tears. He pats my knee in a reassuring gesture. "I'm so sorry you had to go through that Harry. Killing is harsh, though sadly unavoidable under certain circumsances. You did what you had to, to save our lives, and for that I am thankful. But still, I...I wish I could've protected you from that. I'd have gladly taken up the sword in your place, if only to spare you this torment. I wish...Oh, Harry, I'm so sorry for all of this!" I place my hand over his and smile weakly. "Thank you, Don. You don't have to be apologize. I came back to Artazed to make sure you came home safe." "Zal and Nadia told me what happened to you, after we were seperated. It must have been quite an ordeal for you. Here I was, thinking I would be able to rescue you somehow. But in the end, it was you who rescued me! Again, I am sorry to have failed you." "It's ok, we're safe now, and together. Let's focus on the good things." I say. I'm already starting to feel better, the horrible images of my nightmare giving way to more... positive thoughts. I smile, more confidently this time, and take his hand again. "You're a remarkable woman, Harry." he says in a voice barely above a whisper. I blush, looking up into his eyes. He brushes a strand of white hair away from my face, as we both begin to lean forward.... ...and our lips meet in a gentle kiss.
