On a positive note, it looks like I'll be getting that hot bath I wanted
after all. "Cora seed dye is hard to remove from skin, but it will come
off with the right mix of solvents. Which I just happen to have right
here." Zal says confidently.
"Should we really do this? Won't it still be better for me to blend with the local population?" "Well, as the bounty has been claimed already, they shouldn't be after you, so the disguise isn't worth much on that count. Plus, a lot of the bounty hunters knew about it anyway. The ones we really need to worry about are Maris' people, and they've only seen you disguised as an Artazian recently. We'll have to change that." Zal pours the chemicals into the water and they quickly dissolve, leaving the bathwater a cloudy blue color. "I'll leave you to your bathing then." Zal says, and departs. I strip off and submerge myself in the bathwater, removing the coal dust and sweat from my skin and hair. I attempt to massage my tired muscles and relax as best I can, though my concern for my friends and worries about this plan keep me from truly enjoying myself. After about 20 minutes, the dye begins to disentigrate from my skin as well. I continue bathing for the next hour or so, even dozing off once or twice. I emerge from the bath and towel off, taking a minute to look myself over in the mirror. My skin has returned to it's normal pale complexion, but the same chemicals that removed the skin dye have turned my previously black-dyed hair a silvery white. I mentally bid farewell to "Ilsa." Zal enters soon thereafter. "Oh, I see you're done. Good. Here's your new outfit." he says, and presents me with:
