Looking Around

The Black Void - Episode 2568

Recovering a little from the effort of hopping across to the bench, you sit up and look around. You can't afford to stay here very long; you need to get yourself medical attention or a painkiller, and you have those dead bodies to report. Before long you will have to summon the elevator and try another floor, but you feel that you can spare the time for a quick examination of your surroundings. Besides, you want to wait a couple of minutes to allow your knee to recover a little before you submit it to further stress.

Apart from the bench and the flowerpots, the roof isn't very interesting. There is a railing around it to prevent anyone from falling over the edge. There is a small brick structure with a locked door, which you guess is a machinery room connected with the operation of the elevator.

  1. Looking further afield, you examine the area surrounding the building whose roof you are on.
  2. You notice that some past occupant of the bench has dropped something interesting on the floor (or should that be on the "ground")?
  3. Then you hear the elevator returning. Someone else is comning up.
