Sparky Finds Something

"Better get away from here", Everett thought. He and Sparky climbed up the grassy hill. There was a steady wind. Everett did not quite know why he was doing this. He just had this hunch that there was something up there, and probably something valuable.

Sparky ambled on, and then his tail dropped suddenly. He shoulders stiffened, and he crouched low to the ground. He whimpered a little. Sparky then turned around and headed back for the car.

1. "You lazy little coward," Everett thought, as he kept walking.
2. "He knows something that I don't", Everett thought. He stopped, and tried to call Sparky back in his most soothing voice.
3. "He knows something that I don't", Everett thought. He followed Sparky.
