I should have known better. I've had to put my trust in so many people
since this ordeal began. Don, Zal, Usman and Munaf, Teran, Lord Richard.
I thought Cecil was one of those I could trust, as he took me out of the
reckless barfight to his quiet home nearby. He was handsome and charming,
and put me off my guard. We made idle chitchat and he poured me some tea.
It was sweet and aromatic. Immediatley after I finished drinking, the
room began to spin. I tried to stand, but fell back in my chair. Cecil
stood over me with an evil grin. I should have known better.
That was the last
thought to enter my mind before I blacked out.
The tea was drugged. I awaken on the ground outside. It is still dark, but I can dimly make out the tops of trees. Looking around, I see that I am in a wooded area. Some kind of forest? Then I remember. Cecil. The tea! I sit bolt upright, and am shocked when my shirt (really not much more than a bra) nearly falls off. Looking down, I notice that the golden clasp that held it together is missing. Taking stock of myself, I realize that all my jewelry [2361] is missing as well. I've been robbed. He drugged me, stole my valuables, then dropped me in the woods somewhere! I fight back tears as I pick myself up off the ground. It could have been much, much worse, I tell myself. I'm still alive, and uninjured. That counts for something. At least he left me with my skirt and (somewhat damaged) top. As I get to my feet, I notice that I'm barefoot. I had loosened my sandal straps for comfort while relaxing at Cecil's. They must have fallen off sometime after I passed out, maybe while he carried me out here? I don't know how much time has passed, or which way I need to go. But I pick a direction and start walking.
