"No!" I yell futilely. The Sultan is lying on the floor in a rapidly growing pool of blood, surely already dead.

Satisfied with his handiwork, the assassin turns to face me. As I'm a witness, he probably wants to kill me too. I have to either run or fight. I try to fight off the paralysis that is threatening to seize me as a result of what I've just seen.

  1. I pick up a heavy clay pitcher and hurl it at the assassin.
  2. Instead of lunging at me with his dagger, as I expect, he grabs a heavy pitcher and brings it down hard on my head, When I come round, he has vanished but his bloody dagger is by my hand. I've been framed!
