Houston, We Have a Problem

The Black Void - Episode 1632

Anthony Jennings, NASA communications officer, heard the female voice say "I'm supposed to be in Argentina." She must be in a private aircraft or something, he figured, though how she was getting through directly to a NASA sattilite, he didn't know. Must be a glitch of some sort.

"Well, where are you now?" he asks. I can maybe try to direct you to the airport in Buenos Aires if you give me your coordiantes and bearing."

T'kept didn't quite know what to say to that. The shuttle was currently in orbit. She checked her coordinates on the screen and rattled them off, hoping that the computer would again translate them.

"Wow, you're way off course then." Anthony replied when he heard her coordiantes. "But in fact, you're not too far from NASA headquarters in Houston, Texas."

"Is that where you are, Anthony Jennings?" T'kept asks.

"Well, yes, but..."

T'kept checks her sensors again. She still has no idea how far from her homeworld of Kilt'nik she is. But she can's stay orbiting the planet indefinitley. Her food reserves will only last a week or so. She's glad the wormhole didn't leave her in an empty, lifeless part of space, though. She sighs, and makes a decision.

"Very well, Anthony Jennings. I will land at this NASA of yours."

"What?! Wait!" Jennings calls out, but T'kept has already started lowering her shuttle into the atmosphere, disrupting the radio signal.

  1. T'kept programs her shuttle's navigational computer to home in on Jennings' signal, and follow it to its source.
  2. T'kept programs her shuttle's navigational computer to home in on Jennings' signal. When she sees she's approaching a city, though, she decides to land a bit outside of it so as not to frighten the local population
