Belle and the cool-hatted man look down into the hole. They see nothing. Sort of a blackish void is all.

Time passes.

"Are you sure you have the right hole?" Belle asks.

  1. "Oh shoot," says the man. He pulls the rope up, then lowers it into a second hole about six feet to their left.
  2. "Of course I'm sure," says the man.
