T'kept emerges from the void in her one person space shuttle. She nearly
passes out from her trip through the Black Void. But she forces herself to
remain awake so she can see where her shuttle is going. Outside her
shuttle, she sees a beautiful bright blue and white globe which the humans
know as Earth. And the shuttle is heading straight for the huge body
that orbits the planet Earth, namely the Earth's moon. T'kept skilfully
manages to redirect the shuttle around the moon and enters Earth's orbit.
T'kept wonders exactly where she is. She remembers what happened before she entered the void. The black void was a wormhole that was about to appear. Ban'lin, the captain of her starship, the Q'lisp, noticed that a wormhole was starting to form. No-one has ever entered a wormhole in the history of the Kilt'nik starfleet. Being true explorers, the citizens of Kilt'nik wanted to be able to navigate a wormhole. All starship captains were given direct orders to send a volunteer into the next wormhole that appeared, in one of their shuttlecrafts. Captain Ban'lin summoned her seven experienced shuttle pilots to the bridge of the Q'lisp. She gave her pilots a quick speech saying that a wormhole was about to appear and she needed a volunteer to enter the wormhole and explore whatever was at the other end. There were four eager volunteers who wanted the opportunity to go through the wormhole, even though all of them knew that they might never be able to get back to Kilt'nik. Since there was virtually no time to pack up for the journey through the wormhole, T'kept was chosen, because she was the only one that kept an overnight bag packed in her shuttle along with a week's worth of food. So she headed to her shuttle, maneuvered it out of the Q'lisp and veered straight for the developing wormhole. The wormhole opened for only fifteen seconds, but T'kept was ready and steered the shuttle right into the wormhole the second before it closed. Once the wormhole closed, she lost communication with the Q'lisp and Kilt'nik. Here T'kept is, outside in the unknown part of the Milky Way, where the Earth orbits the sun. And she has absolutely no idea where she is. She doubts that she has any way of getting back home to Kilt'nik, let alone to be able to contact them. Being a true explorer, what does T'kept do first?
