Amelia Earhart dreamed of circumnavigating the Earth in a single airplane.
Then, in May 1937, she was thrilled to be able to travel in a rebuilt
Electra for her last mission as an airplane pilot to circumnavigate around
the world. She departed Miami, Florida on June 1st, 1937 with her
navigator, Fred Noonan.
During June and July, Amelia made several stops in Africa, southeastern Asia, then Australia. She took a three days layover in Lau, New Guinea because she was tired and she was not feeling well at all. On July 2nd, she and her navigator, Fred, took off, bound for the Pacific Ocean with an overnight pit stop at Howland Island. En route, the plane flew right into the Black Void. The two of them tried to send messages asking for help. But help didn't arrive. Finally, the rebuilt Electra containing Amelia Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan, emerges from the void and the two of them see a craft that did not exist in 1937. Moreover...
