Much Ape About Nothing

The Black Void - Episode 138

The Amazing Apes Amphitheater? You hurry in the direction the sign is pointing.

Finding a seat in the large, curved viewing area, you sit back and watch the show. Apparently it started some time ago, so it takes you a few minutes to catch on to the fact that you are watching several chimpanzees, gorillas and orangutans performing "A Midsummer Night's Dream." They can't speak, obviously, but their grunts are wonderfully expressive, and the costumes and sets are excellent. You find yourself drawn into the action.

  1. Tragically, Oberon flings poop at the audience midway through the final act.
  2. Puck, a feisty lemur, escapes.
  3. The play ends without event. You venture backstage to compliment the trainer on the performance.
  4. An author mistakenly believes 'orangutans' is a misspelling and writes a scathing, anonymous attack on Pozzo.
