Rapid Raft Ride

Not put off by the fact that you cannot get anyone in line to answer your questions, you wait impatiently for your turn on the ride. This was going to be better than Hershey's Park, you think, chewing on your lip, wondering if your mother is looking for you.

Stepping up to the dock, expecting a inter tube or some kind of raft, you nervously put you feet in the two small wooden shoe’s. They have a wide platform on them, and sticks are thrust in your hands. Suddenly, the water changes from a beautiful, clear blue, to a dark, ugly black. Black as blood.

The water begins to swoosh and you hang on for dear life as the current drags you towards the journey of your life. The path is fast and furious, with over hanging trees, and rocks. Using the sticks you stop using your eleven-year-old mind, and start using the mature one that you usually keep locked up. It is not hard to determine that the water is only waist deep. There are occasional red streaks in it, which you have not yet decided what are. Your first thought is to dive into the black murk and find somewhere to pull yourself up. This ride is nothing like you expected, and you really simply want to go home! “Why didn’t I go to the “Missing Mommy (and Daddy) Motel”! You ask yourself as you barely miss a huge rock in your path.

Bending down to get a better view of the dark liquid, that no longer appears to be water, a large red creature swoops out of the water and bites off one of you long blonde pony tails. Horrified you realize you must not fall into this water! The idea of being safely grounded by your mother’s side becomes more and more appealing.

Suddenly, before you can get overly upset over your lost pony tail, you see the water parting in three directions. Thinking intently you ponder your options:

1. 1. You can go forward off the waterfall into the beautiful blue water.
2. 2. You can go to the left, which is more ugly, black water.
3. 3. You can to the right to the concession stand, which is beckoning you with corn dogs, and french fries.
