Astra the Djinn—Happy?

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 99905

Astra raises her face from her hands, tears still streaming down her cheeks, and says mechanically, "As you wish, Master." A couple of seconds pass, and the djinn blinks a few times, but that is all.

"Astra?" Fred says uncertainly. "Are you happy?"

"Indeed, Master," Astra drones, but she doesn't really sound like it.

Fred continues to ask her questions, and soon works out what has happened: Astra has forgotten she was ever human—and everything that happened to her in her past life—and is now as close to happiness as a djinn can ever hope to come.

Fred is horrified by this realization, and...

  1. not knowing what else to do, asks Astra to return to her lamp.
  2. wishes for Astra's memories to be returned to her, while keeping her "happiness" intact.
  3. suddenly has an idea. "Can I bend time with these wishes?" he asks Astra.
  4. suddenly has a different idea, and wishes to be transported into Astra's djinn body, and for her to likewise be switched to his.
