"Yes," said the Doctor, "but if we don't stop him from stealing the TARDIS, we won't be able to leave!" Stacy refrained from pointing out that she, at least, had arrived (at least originally) in Betty's automobile and was quite capable of leaving the same way. At any rate, she would hardly have had the chance to point out that or anything else, as the Doctor was already running out of the building. Melissa and both Bettys were hard on his heels, and, not wanting to be left behind, Stacy heaved a quick sigh and followed.

  1. But when they got to where they'd left the TARDIS, it was already gone!
  2. They were just in time to see the Master disappearing into the TARDIS.
  3. But the TARDIS was right where they'd left in, and the Master was nowhere in sight.
