Indeed, the monks were willing to help her. Exotica could ride out on a trading mission that went past the village. She would take the place of Esmerelda, one of the village maidens hired to clean the monastery. Esme would stay behind. The maid knew nothing about the Hespan ship as cleaning shifts often lasted a week.
As expected, Exotica had to listen to the mysterious advice in exchange for the help.

  1. She understood the advice.
  2. She did not understand the advice.
  3. It was all a trick. The monks were in league with the Hespanic forces.
  4. As they went to the Advice Chapel, Hespan forces knocked on the front door.
  5. Exotica is overcome by blinding pain and collapses by the condiment cart.
  6. Esme betrays the plan.
