Fred Continues The Quest Alone (a.k.a. Goodbye Mermaid)

Fred desperately wanted to take Crystal along with him, but her tail and fins were a major obstacle. It wasn't just her tail, he didn't know how long she could last out of her native element. He had a hard time lifting her up since he had just gotten used to standing on dry land again. He ultimately ended up dragging her back into the ocean backwards with his arms hooked under her arms. He shared one last passionate kiss with her, a way for both of them to thank the other: Crystal saving Fred from the monster and Fred helping her back into the water.
He looked back at her as he walked back ashore. She had traveled to deep enough water that she could stay upright as if standing. Her head, shoulders, and the tops of her ample breasts partially hidden by her white seashell top was all that was above the surface until they were joined by one of her webbed hands as she waved goodbye to him. She then turned and submerged, her large tail-fin breaking the surface before it joined the rest of her, as if it was a final wave. Fred sighed after she had left. It was time to get back to his quest and ultimately he thought he had made the right decision. It was at least going to be a quicker journey if he didn't have to carry around an aquatic being.
