An Angelic Induced Interlude (part 2)

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 94372

Rei Q. Takahashi

“I . . .find that sometimes discretion is called for in situations like this,” the Master hedges, not really answering straight away as he gives the glowering angels a nervous glance. “One must respect some matters of privacy of their employers, I should say.”

Oh really? Maybe. Then again maybe I should be more cynical and ask you to pull the other leg? Perhaps it’ll do something this time.

That or perhaps the celestrial entities at my back practically radiating promises of painful and gruesome consequences for prying into matters one like yourself should not dare? God knows what kind of damage the Master could do to the Dark Tower if he should be foolish enough to gain access and control of what used to be the very center of almost all things in the multiverse. It no longer is but with still vital repairs still being done to IT whatever tampering the would be “Master” of all matter could do would be . . .devestating to a LOT of real estate and people out there still and leave at that.

Do not get me wrong, the Master was my favorite Doctor Who villain and he’s a MUCH more pleasant conversationalist than a lot of personalities I have met over my lifetime. Dare say that the Master has been more pleasant and nice than some people I could name off the cuff, really.

That said, I do not forget that he is evil and dangerous, even IF not as erratic as what I and my friends had been expecting.

Frankly, I’ll just count my blessings and be done with it. Except for ONE request the evil Time Lord has near the end….

. . .

What the heck, why not? Don’t see the harm in it and it won’t be too difficult after we get done with everyone else before getting to the Doctor…

Later…

After everyone else, the Doctor’s question and answer session proves to be the most . . .drawn out.

Some of the others had been either more amusing in one way or another.

Or more surprising . . .

But at the very end, Rei found it somehow more . . .satisfying in a certain fashion than the others at the very least . . .

Rei and her sisters hold nothing against this particular Doctor, even if he had given off less than a stellar impression upon their first meeting in the library. Stress can do that to one's manners, you know. The Doctor here HAD been scared and tortured by the "dearly" departed Dr. Ritsuko Akagi to the point of both his hearts failing.

It is just that as family it was something of a running joke and quiet the accomplishment in being able to take the Doctor aback in surprise, even if only briefly. Kind of a way of showing that they cared and all that for the ol' chap, keep him grounded and all that...

  1. “Great Jumping Jehosaphat!!"
