The guard presses the red button and a dozen hideous monsters leap out from various crevices and dimensional holes. Fred kills one by shoving it into machinery. The others, incuding the guard, give chace. In the commition the guard's entertainment bauble is activated and jaunty music is played. Due to the magic of the bauble, it nuetralizes nearby sound for as alert readers have learned, this mechanical area is loud to the point of near-pain. Anyway, Fred dodges into one of many doors, then emerges from a seperate door, on the other side of the hallway! This is due to a maintenince tunnel that goes underneath the floor. However, the monsters are still close behind. In fact, one has become confused and is now chasing the wart-faced guard.
