Fred leaps up at the sloping roof and grabs a couple of stalactites. The others climb up onto a ledge or stand on particularly tall stalagmites. A great rushing sound heralds the arrival of a flow of water down the passage they had come along. However, the top of the passage becomes an air pocket and the band are unharmed. The water gushes for about three minutes and Fred starts wondering how much longer he can hold on. Finally the roar subsides to a trickle and Fred wearily drops down with a splish-splosh. There is still a cold wet wind rushing down after the torrent, which cools the group as they continue their treck. As they travel, the group talk about...
