Carola looked over the spur. She couldn't see anything, except the serene
landscape below her. Where there had been battle sounds before, now there
was only the wind. What had happened? Had that been a battle of ghosts? She shuddered. This was getting more menacing every minute. She had thought that whatever danger was here was less poentially fatal than sneaking around right under the noses of a horde of Minestus's warriors, but now she wasn't so sure. Suddenly she realized... ~I have to get back to camp!~ she thought. ~Something could have easily attacked them while I was away!~ She felt like a complete fool, rushing foolhardily off into the night to investigate a battle. She ran off back to the camp as fast as she could. She wondered. Had that been a trap, specifically to lure her away? If it had, it would have to have been created by someone who knew her well. Perhaps someone was reading her mind? She reached the outskirts of the camp...
