Fred Goes Further into the Caves

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 89983

Feeling (however illogically) that to retreat from the caves would be the act of a coward, Lord Fred ventured even deeper into them, in search of the necromancer who was rumooured to dwell there. If anyone had the power to kill the dragon, whether with poison or magic, then it should be him.

Fred tried to ignore a few unsettling thoughts that came to him. If the necromancer was able to kill the dragon, then why hadn't he already done so? If the dragon and necromancer shared the Southern Caves, then mightn't they have agreed a mutual non-aggression pact?
