Is That Really Wise?

"But the centaurs live locally and we don't," Exotica pointed out. "They are the ones who will have to deal with any unpleasant consequences. Aqualaria can't provide them with any protection, seeing that we are still outside its borders."

"There's a vine trap a couple of hundred yards over in that direction," one of the centaurs said, pointing. "If we only had some way of luring them into it."

"I'll do that," Astra said. "I'm dressed - or rather undressed - for luring."

"Are you sure that's wise?" Exotica asked.

"Probably not, but I'm going to do it anyway." She grinned.

She dismounted, and then emerged at the edge of the clearing surrounding the equipment depot. "Hello boys!" she called. They turned and then their mouths dropped open. Having got their attention, she sprinted off in the direction of the trap.

1. It works.
2. The punks smell a rat and refuse to be lured.
3. Astra manages to get herself caught in the vine trap. Oops! How embarrassing. The punks gather round, jeering.
4. One of the punks is a very quick runner. He manages to catch up with and rugby tackle Astra twenty yards short of the trap.
5. Astra is hit by a sleep bolt.
