When Fiction Atacks!!!

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 89174

Meanwhile, earlier . . .er . . .later? (time travel is SOOOO confusing sometimes) . . .

"RUN!!" screamed the fox creature one more time before turning her full attention to the advancing mechanical menace. Oddly enough the fireball seemed to have quiet the punch, but despite being somewhat more worse for wear for it, the thing still is in the fight.

Now, at another setting both humans and renegade Time Lord would surely have questions. Betty and Ragan, being the big Whovian “geeks” they are would surely have asked how an “obviously” fictional creature from myth should be able to actually SEE the White Robot, since back in the old TV episode the fictious inhabitants had NOT been able to do such things. Only the “real” visitors had been able to see them. Perhaps even objections would be lodged by the Master for having something that is almost half his size have the audacity to dare ORDER him around.

It’s a pretty good bet that all probably would like to know just why the Vixen is so hostile towards the Master. Has to do with what basically amounted to a “detect evil” spell the kitsune cast before approaching (tagging the Master as being a baddy), but that’s by the by right now. More important facts are in play here!!

The fact that the firefight between robots (more have appeared) and kitsune has just intensified by what appears to be some humanoid figure in what appears to be honest to Gawd POWER ARMOR (this “Inquirer” person at a guess) just got MUCH more intense, they opt on at least waiting until LATER to ask questions. Survival looks MUCH more appealing right now, naturally!

Being that even the Master—insane though he be—isn’t THAT batsh*t insane to stick around when there are rather high powered d.e.w. (directed energy weapons) and what appears to be some kind of mini- atomics (!!) being thrown about, thank all the same.

When Fiction attacks for real, life gets . . .really interesting.

So, they RUN in the general direction the kitsune directed towards safety and run . . .into a very strange zone indeed. Suddenly the white void . . .isn’t so much a void as a . . .rundown apartment complex or some such, all jumbled together?

No! More like one solid “real” run down studio condo with a bunch of hazy “illusions” flickering in and out of existence at various points on the wall. The ceiling.

The floor? Kind of disturbing and disorienting, to say the least! Most striking is the image of what Stacy’s mind puts as some kind of Japanese ice skate who’s outfit coloration keeps shifting. Indeed, the ice skater (or cheerleader, the outfit kind of fits even IF it’s kind of a nautical theme) who’s form and very AGE seems to shift from early Oriental teenager (or even pre-teen) girl to a woman in her early twenties. Whatever the case, though the. All the others can tell is that the skater seems to have GREEN hair (who’s style shifts as well from second to second). Eyes are crimson and are filled with complete and utter RAGE.

And a lurking insanity that makes even the Master think that ghostly woman they’d ran from look downright pleasant in comparison!...

The ice skater/cheerleader/whatever is hovering over another girl, though, whatever the case. This young one (barely a teen by her looks and also of the Orient) is also a girl who looks . . .better (not shifting and not batsh*t insane), but looks . . .shaken to the core.

The fact that the young woman has sky blue hair and crimson eyes is almost overlooked, so jumbled are the images. That and the fact that said teen is dressed in a torn up white colored Neoprene diving suit is . . .much more distracting than such otherwise distracting details.

The suit leaves . . .little to the imagination and reveals a figure that is well developed even at such a young age, one must add.

The scene changes and somewhere along the lines the cheerleader has fled and another has taken her place, seeming to try to help the young teenage girl with whatever has shaken her up. Somewhere along the way the teenage girl had changed her diving outfit for some kind of . . .school uniform dress.

Then the scene switches again and the young blue haired girl seems to be surrounded by an odd group indeed from various time periods and even milieu, but the viewers DO recognize some of the others around the young bluette. One is the Doctor, smiling down at the young girl in a familial manner. Somewhat like a proud uncle, really. The other recognize the kitsune female right off, and she too seems to be very friendly towards the mystry blue haired girl. The blue haired girl seems to have been again emotionally overwhelmed, but this time in joy if one is to tell from the way she smiles up at two particular people (a man and a woman dressed in Victorian/Edwardian clothing of all things). She has tears in her eyes. Tears of joy. She seems to be mouthing something; something that later the Master (who can lip read) is Japanese for “Yes! Yes! YES!!”

She grows even paler. Almost albino pale, really and . . .her hair grows a lavender color and . . .

She sprouts wings as she seems to scream in ecstasy as the transformation races through her body. The process sure does tear up her uniform something fierce, anyway…. The scene fades away and in it’s place a woman with consternation in her face is staring out at them. The Doctor is at her feet, out cold and the TARDIS is behind her. “Sigh . . .well dearies, at least we got you all to safety here for the moment,” the apparition sighs, shaking her head.

  1. “Got to tip me hat towards Setsuna over this knot in space/time. Keeps that nutter at bay like you wouldn’t believe. . . .but you all cannot stay here for much longer, I fear.”
