Perdition and Perception

"So where do we go now?" asked Astra.

"I said, I have no idea. Maybe it will come to me in my dreams--after all, I am the Dreamer."

"You are correct," said Astra. "So we need some rest. I'm rather tired, after all this searching."

So they found a spot that seemed safe and went to rest. Fredrigo was about to go to bed, when...

"I thought I saw the walls shimmer," said Astra.

"It was nothing, just an illusion," said Fred. But then, he saw it too. The walls were indeed shimmering. They looked like they were about to disappear...

Suddenly, skeleton creatures appeared out of nowhere and attacked Astra and Fred! They screamed with one voice, withought any mouth, "KEEP AWAY FROM THE GATE OR YOU WILL DIE!"

"What gate?" asked Fred, but then he saw what they were referring to. It looked more like a whirlpool of light than a gate, but he knew it had to be it.

1. Fred and Astra leapt throught the gate...
