Off to see the wizard

"The Wizard of Kamiro is said to live near the coast," she began, "along the Aquilarian-Allarian border. I think that means a good ways east of here; it would be much easier if you were starting from Themyscira, there's a road that goes straight from that city past his house."

"So, east, along the border, about as far as Themyscira... What's Themyscira? Wait, don't tell me, it is something important in Aquilaria... It's... the... capitol of Aquilaria! See? I knew I'd remember it! Thank you, you've been very helpful." Fred started to leave.

"How can I not be helpful?" thought Astra. "After all, this is what's going to save me."

Fred stopped and turned around. "Oh, and princess?"

"Yes?"

"What's your name?"

"Astra. Astra of Aqularia."

Fred and Velus left. "Maybe he isn't such a jerk after all," thought Astra, "He did come back to ask me my name. On the other hand, he did stop to stare at me rather longer than he should've. And there's always that nagging feeling that he's an accident waiting to happen. What's with that?

"And how do I even know his name? Furthermore, why didn't he ask me how I knew it? Maybe we've met before and I can't remember it? I do feel like there's a hole in my memory just before I was chained here, and yet it also seems like no time passed since the dragon last passed and Fred appeared with Velus."

Astra thought and thought, for what else could she do? She was chained to a wall, being kept alive by some unknown magic. How long did she wait? She couldn't know. It could have been hours, days, or weeks. But, eventually, she saw someone coming through the tunnel.

It was Fred! But he was not alone. Was it really just one shadow? Who did the other shadow belong to?
