The Beach is Robertless

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 88311

Astra used a word that princesses weren't supposed even to know, let alone utter. What a fool she had been! She should have insisted that Robert came with her when she went to find a scimitar. She would have counted getting a scimitar in exchange for him a good deal, were it not for the fact that he had evidently taken all the monkeys with him.

She saw that the boat had now landed, and the men were running - or in many cases limping or shambling - across the beach towards her. It was clearly too late to flee. Two of the men had crossbows, and she was well within range. For the same reason, trying to defend herself with the scimitar was clearly futile.

Dropping her weapon, she said: "Good day, gentlemen."

"Where's the man?" the one who, judging by his ornate - if none too clean - uniform, must be their captain said.

"He must have fled. Believe me, you're better off without him."

  1. Fogeno detailed half his men to search for him, while the other half (including himself) took Astra to the boat, and set off for the ship.
  2. Fogeno decided that he wasn't worth the effort of tracking down. He and all his men took Astra to the boat, and set off for the ship.
  3. Astra had been doing Robert an injustice. He and the monkeys had prepared an ambush. (With Robert himself directing operations from a safe distance.)
