Setsuna Serenity (aka Sailor Moon) Of course Giles and the others jump to wrong conclusions and have to ask a lot of questions that my husband patiently and thoroughly answer (sometimes multiple times). Not to say that these people are dense that they needed things repeated, but rather they are having a hard time believing some of what my husband tells them. I can understand how they mistakenly believed that we had somehow jumped ten thousand years into Horus’ future; a future where he had been absent for the entire time up until then. It would have been a MUCH happier reunion for us AND Horus if that had been the case, I will wager! They seemed to jump to conclusions and thought we’d been delayed due to all the partying that the reunion would have entailed! I almost feel a sense of vindictive pride at how pale some become when they realize that we had instead landed in a reality which mirrored more the "cannon" Warhammmer 40K instead of something . . .lighter and nicer. No, we had to had the bad luck to land in a reality where the Horus Heresy had actually taken place. Where the only telling differences between that reality and the one that "our" Horus had haled from began where the "Moonraker" incident played out as seen in the movies. Where the Emperor of Mankind (then known as James Bond) never met the Doctor and his Companions. Never got completely lost in trying to figure out the pop culture references to such an extent that he’d felt compelled to "brush up" on them (and lead him later on to "inflicting" them upon Horus and his fellow Primarchs from time to time so as to prep them for a chance re-encounter with us Champions). . . . Somehow I felt almost put upon that Horus had thought all Champions were Earth pop culture addicts to one extent to another. Anyway, my husband glosses over the harsh words exchanged between our group and the native Emperor of Mankind but does make mention of that Prophecy (or whatever) that had drawn Yukido into the fold and all that followed. And cover now in much fuller detail than we’d been able to while we’d been "visiting" the 40th millennium (a place NOBODY had wanted to EVER visit, thank YOU). Sigh, we’d been in too much of a hurry to rush through everything but do a PROPER job of it we’d . . .so had very much flunked giving her a proper briefing, I fear. . . . I am just glad we had not bollixed everything else up on that side trip we all had taken there. Was a far run thing, let me tell you! One slip and instead of a friendly possible relation between US (much less between the 30th millennium and their 40th Millennium counterparts). Could have been VERY bad, if you catch my meaning. Something along the lines of a LOT (if not all) of us seriously in a bad way. Maybe with the understandably hostile Emperor (who had REALLY wanted to know how he had come back to the land of the living AND just how WE had come to be in the most secure location in the Imperium). Us having flown off the shovel . . .er . . .handle when Horus--a person we’d become honor bound to help and keep from harm, so he could get back home to warn his father and such about the coming storm in the form what we know now as the defunct Chaos Gods-- got injured by the Emperor himself in his quest for answers. . . .hadn’t helped. If we’d come to blows and we’d somehow managed (through magic, a much more credible and truthfully LETHAL threat to a Psyker than anyone had ever experienced) it would have been BAD. If we’d killed the Emperor, we’d not only have EVERYONE from the Imperium on "Holy Terra" after us, but we would have snuffed out only navigational beacon the Imperium used for navigation through space. That would have plunged the Imperium into darkness and into an abyss where all it’s enemies could just . . . No, not a good thing at all. . .. The 40K universe is NOT a nice place, even with the Choas Demon Gods gone. . . . Through the interference generated by a jump drive (or whatever those Military blokes call it). Mere chance, it’s delivery into the Military Alliance universe and spreading out into the wider multiverse to eventually end up back there? Oh, puuh-lease!! We got actual magic in play here. Fantasy galore and actual angelic beings (Shinto or whatever Buffy really is). Do I have to remind you about hints earlier in this tale of us Champions the broad hints of the Celestrial entities (good, bad, and neutral) contacting from time to time (secretly) the upper echelon of the Military "top brass"? No, this is a Fantasy story, despite the trappings and presence of high technology. Can you say "divine intervention"? Such things are the realm of fantasy tales, even SUCH as these, friend. From time to time, at least. Or at least there are actual Shinto (Angels . . .whatever!) out there on our side and out to help! Not to mention those Agents and Rules and . . .such. Deal with it! . . . Pardon, still a bit miffed about the . .. .personality clashes I had with the Emperor even after we’d settled out differences. Right. . .Events, we were talking about those things. Events which we had touched upon in passing but only NOW the young woman is hearing in more detail from my husband, the some of which relate directly to her through what the Emperor witnessed through the very memories (albeit somewhat scrambled) of Warmaster Horus. Events that do NOT exactly paint Willow in a good light and perhaps could have revealed in a more private, controlled setting. However, what we DID see was rather . . .alarming so we reveal it here and now as to alert the others here of a potential . . . Threat. Perhaps Willow shall be able to explain her actions and reasoning and enlighten us. Make us not see her as a ticking time bomb. Yes, according to what I and the other magic users of the group know, a species like Willow is now cannot access the school of magic that the witchs of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" seem to belong to (translated into upon coming to this reality). Saying that she cannot become the super-witch as seen in the series and be able to destroy a world. Nobody that young and inexperienced should have such godlike power. . . . I should know . . .it was part of why I was driven mad earlier. . . But there ARE other routes to power that Willow could try. Try and destroy JUST herself, OR perhaps drag along a few friends and family if we're unlucky. Something must be done sooner or later because . . . Before what I and the others saw I would have said such foolishness was unlikely for someone as intelligent as Willow, but after witnessing (albeit second hand) makes one question the young . . .elf's wisdom. Harsh, but . . .we'd be foolish to NOT be concerned, eh?
