Of COURSE we have a situation awaiting us once we return though. Wilow’s awake now and . . .she’s still somewhat in a state… Yukido “It won’t come off,” A frantic seeming non-human (an elf if I remember my Western Literature) is whispering, horrified as she keeps scrubbing at her skin and tugging at her hair and ears, clearly confused about something about her outfit. “My costume! Why WON’T it come off!!?” “Willow . . .Willow!” a young Caucasian male teenager I find out later named Xander shouts, trying to grab the increasingly frantic elfin woman’s arms before she can do herself harm. “It’s okay! We’ll explain. It’s OKAY!!” And I am happy (what a nice and warm emotion) to report that Xander did manage to calm the Dark Elfin woman enough for her stop trying to injure herself and instead listen quietly as Xander recounts the events that befell her and everyone up until our return. At least I believe that is what he is quietly talking about with her. I rather do not feel a need to eavesdrop upon their conversation by going over there to listen. That and the accoustics in THIS library (what with a gapping HOLE in the ground leading down into the dark depths underground kind of ruins trying to causually listen in. The Emperor’s library had MUCH better. Besides, it would be rude from cultural indoctrination tells me, to listen in on such matters. It was not like I had not been briefed on matters pertaining to my Quest by my sisters and friends beforehand! But that said… THIS is Willow? The young lady that the Emperor himself who had been the catalyst for all the chaotic (but not necessarily unwanted) events back on “Holy Terra” (as they call Earth in their version of my home planet)? . . . “I thought that you said that Willow was human back when we spoke of what the Emperor saw?” I ask Rei, taking her aside quietly. “I could well understand why the prevarications, given the environment we found ourselves in, but still!” Rei had been very . . .blunt--speaking mind to mind with me-- of how most (if not all) of the people of the Imperium of Mankind were: xenophobic and “omi-cidal“. Well, in as far as the armed forces went anyway the later part. Rei and my sisters had mentioned this elfin woman before me having been somewhat involved in affairs she was supremely unable to handle; “gotten in over her head” was the proper term for it. Slanish would have just LOVED having made her a slave and gaining her potential in actual magics, such a game changer was this formerly powerful witch had been until recently. Warmaster Horus had not been able to himself remember the details but the Emperor had been able to retrieve the wayward memories and . . .I am not sure whether I should pity Willow or be scornful of her, really. But that aside… While not EVERYTHING was revealed during our brief stay in the 40th millennium, I do recall that Rei had implied Willow had been human. I can see why she did not fail to correct false impressions but to think that such as we should have been able to pull one over like that over the Emperor of Mankind is mind boggling. THAT one was VERY much on the ball and frankly even I--who has still MUCH to learn about life--could see that. Rei “While all that was fine and well just what exactly happened over there?” Giles interrupts me before I correct false impressions my younger sibling has on this matter. “And while we’re at it just who is the newcomer here and just why did it take so bloody long for you to return? “I asked Buffy already about such thing,” Giles adds, grumbling. “Being how she kept disappearing off and on. . . “ A rather annoyed glare was tossed towards the innocently whistling (of ALL things) Slayer in question. Of all the cheek, not having told the truth about her Angelic nature even now after having regained all her memories after suffering from partial amnesia (or whatever) upon coming BACK to life. Why else would not Giles know about Buffy . . .? “However, she seems to be singularly set upon being closed mouthed about the whole thing and . . .,” Giles continues, unaware of my train of consternated thoughts being derailed by his ranting. “Enough,” the husband of Sailor Moon interrupts before Giles can gatehr even more steam.
