John didn't want his starring role in Horsefeathers to come to a violent
end courtesy of a speeding car on this expressway he's found himself lying
on. He picks himself off the concrete as the rushing vehicles speed
towards him. There was very little time to decide what to do next. So, John simply makes a break for it, running towards the shoulder. John was never the world's fastest runner, but the idea of being crushed in the grill of a southbound Mack truck gave him a lot of incentive to move, move, move! Just beyond the shoulder was a large wall, designed to act as a sound barrier to keep the neighborhood behind it relatively protected from the non-stop sound of passing vehicles on one of the busiest roadways in the region. As John leaped into the right hand lane, he intended to scale it. Then, the sound of vehicles slamming on the brakes fills the air...
