The effects are rather more radical than Susan imagined that Charlie had intended as, not only does his body change into a female version of his, the size of the body is considerably reduced as he is replaced by a pretty little girl of no more than five years of age.

As little Charlotte wakes up she begins to sob and Susan instinctively puts her arm around the girls shoulder and pulls her to her bosom.

Susan is shocked as Charlotte seems to think she is her mother and is also very frightened as she realises how unlikely it is that this little girl is going to be capable of creating the potion required to change her back into Fred. What was intended to be a punishment for Charlie looked like it was going to backfire spectacularly for her.

1. shout at the child to try to get her to remember how to change her back
2. gently ask the little girl if she remembered who she really was
3. try to act calmly
