The beam shot out from the other saucer to envelope them. The glow through
the porthole was nearly blinding, and Stacy quickly shut her eyes. When
she opened them again, a second later, she could see that now the interior
walls of the saucer were glowing. Another second, and the very air withing
the saucer was glowing... and then everything was glowing: the
equipment, the alien, Robert... Even, she realized, looking down,
herself. There was an eerie whining noise just at the edge of her hearing.
Something was definitely happening here. And Stacy didn't think it
was something good...
