Escape from the Cube!
The Never Ending Quest - Episode 86268

With seemingly few viable options, Sir Fred calls upon the split-second
decision making so necessary in day-to-day adventuring, and decides to
leap from the soft chair and charge the keeper of this cube of iniquity.
The element of surprise is apparently his, as he sees the keeper's eyes
widen and the keeper's body flinch, causing the keeper to spill some sort
of darkly-coloured liquid from some sort of squat, white tankard
decorated with the image of a frightened feline hanging from a tree
branch. The keeper begins to protest, "Fred, this is highly irr-" but it is too late. Fred pushes past him, knocking the keeper aside and sending the odd stein flying, it's evil liquid apparently boiling or acidic, as the keeper shrieks in pain and perhaps rage when it splashes onto his body and other-worldly vestments. Immediately upon exiting the three-walled enclosure of drab cloth, Fred sees that there is another just like it directly across the way. Inside this second semi-cube, there is another prisoner, seated in an identical soft chair in front of a nearly identical box of light and runes. The prisoner looks frightened and confused, his mind no doubt gone soft from years of imprisonment and wicked enchantments. Sir Fred, always the hero, calls to the frightened prisoner, "Come with me! Let us break free of this strange den of torture and be away!" but the prisoner simply shakes his head and turns back to his box of light. "Poor soul," thinks Fred. "His mind is obviously gone, sucked from his skull by The Google and his time in the cube." Then, with both sadness in his heart for the prisoner and resolve in his soul that he will not suffer the same fate, Sir Fred pushes onward, away from these cells of cloth and their still shrieking keeper.
