Ethan, what have you done?! And Why?

"Questions like just WHY one of our friends is still a Dark Elf and all that?" Xander mutters, gesturing back at the sleeping female elf that Willow Rosenburg had remained even AFTER the statue of Janus, the source of the chaos magic, had been smashed to pieces.

According to his new “friends” and Buffy, the effects of the cursed costumes should have passed with the shattering of the idol. Oh, some things had gone right. Old Miss High and Mighty had gone and vanished (her and her displaced body), leaving Buffy Summers behind and back in her old body where she belonged. That was good.

But Red was still all pointy eared and ebony skinned! That couldn’t be a good thing, all considered. Major freak out coming their way from poor ol’ Will!

"I have a question . . .like who the bloody Hell are all of you?" Giles asks, feeling rather put off at suddenly finding himself so out of the loop here.

"Be with you in a moment . . .after this," Fred promises Giles, not taking his eyes off Ethan. "First thing first, sir. Questions for good old Ethan here."

“Yes, back to that. That’s just one of many questions we have for Ethan here,” Fred says softly, in a cold voice that promises MUCH pain for the man in question. “Also maybe we’ll even learn just why he thought it would be a fun idea to unleash magic upon little children and unsuspecting adults. You have a LOT of blood on your hands tonight, little .”

The last part is said in a tone that is as cold as liquid nitrogen. Bad enough to curse the clueless of Sunnyvale into rampaging monsters during Halloween for “sh*ts and grins“. But blood had been spilt tonight. Lives were lost. The collateral damage alone from that running battle between the Warhammer 40K armor and Iron Man character, Iron Monger, had been hideous.

The graveyards were going to be even MORE busy than usual for even THIS place, shall we say!

A lot of it was witnessed by the heroes as they rushed their way back here. None were too happy about things right now, shall we say and leave at that.

Simply put, they’d like to know just HOW Ethan Rayne could have been so bloody Pants on Head idiotic to believe that this little “prank” of his couldn’t have turned deadly. Or rather, there better be a bloody good explanation beyond enjoying the show a bit of chaos magic can cause!

“It worked then...,” Ethan whispers, with something of an unhealthy gleam in his eyes as he looks down at the drow female. “It worked. It WORKED and THE EVIL SHE would have UNLEASHED has been SEALED AWAY . . . Forever!”

“It can’t be undone, the wish! Now the Chaos Warp God Slaanesh cannot use the b*tch to gain a foothold here!” he snarls at the others, defiantly. Exultantly, even. "I saw the future and it won't happen now!!"

He giggles a little, obviously pleased with himself despite the danger he is in.

Strained silence greets that defiant pronouncement, and then....

"Are you delusional?!" Setsuna sputters, picking up a miscellaneous Warhammer 40K based costume and throws it on the ground in exasperation. "That never HAPPENED in the future in any shape or FORM!! It's only a GAME, for the sake of all the Gods and Goddess."

She should know, what with her being formerly the Senshi of Time and had the ability to look forward (and backwards) in time.

At least, that is the hope...
