The other, larger, saucer was clearly visible on the display screen now. It seemed to be rapidly approaching.

  1. "Hold on to something!" said the alien. "There's nothing else for it but an emergency take-off."
  2. Then the other saucer did a rapid manoeuvre and returned the way it had come.
  3. A beam of light shot out from the other saucer and engulfed them. It was so bright that Stacy shut her eyes. When she opened them again...
