Stacy wondered if she shouldn't wait for Susan to be discharged from the hospital so she could help, but decided that she didn't want to waste any more time. The best thing she could think of to do was to try dissecting one of the rats. Maybe that would tell her something about the exact effects of the drug on the brain.

"OK," said Campbell. "That sounds like a good place to start to me. I'll try to stay out of your way and take notes while you do your thing."

"Thanks," said Stacy. "In that case, I think we should be off. I guess we'll need to get a car..."
