Admitting the truth

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 84466

Although at first she tried to maintain that she felt a deep calling to serve God Susan found it very hard to lie to a priest. Fred had always been brought up to have a respect for the clergy and that was still a part of her bodies psychological roots.

Eventually she did admit that she wanted to go into the nunnery to get away from the desires of her body. She told him that she did not want to face the real temptation of her form.

Father Oliver smiled at her and said "My sweet girl, do you not realise that God made man and woman to be together and that such temptation is part of his plan for keeping the human race going? One day you will find the right man for you and you will both fall in love. Then you will marry and have the children that the Lord made you to have."

This was all too much for our heroine and she broke down in tears, much to the obvious discomfort of the priest. Tentatively he put an arm around Susan to comfort her and wiped the tears from her eyes with his handkerchief.

Susan looked up at the priest and . . .

  1. said "But God didn't make me like this"
  2. kissed him
  3. said "Thank you father, you are right"
