The Never Ending Quest - Episode 8440

Stacy felt terribly confused. If Nielson was on the level, why hadn't he come up to her when her contact had left? On the other hand, if he was working for "them," would he be so obvious about it? Until she'd figured it all out, Stacy decided it was too risky to confide in him. She said nothing.

After a moment, Nielson pushed his chair back a little. "So," he said, "care to walk back to the studio with me?"

"Um, no thanks," said Stacy. "I think I'll just stay here and finish my coffee."

  1. "Well, OK," he said. "See you." And he got up and left.
  2. He shrugged, said "OK, see you later," and left. A minute later, Stacy noticed that the paper the man had given her was gone.
  3. "Oh, well, then, I think I'll join you," he said.
  4. Just then, a man wearing sunglasses walked in.
