Fred ponders for a moment. This does make sense. The source of the light is at least four miles away. Our hero is a swift runner, indeed, but it would take him two hours to get there, especially what with his armour, rucksack, and other accoutrements weighing him down. Still, Fred figures he may be able to at least gain some clues about his adversary in the ruins, if it even is a burning town. In fact, he maybe able to round up a few survivors to assist him in slaying the dragon back in the cave. The cave! Of course!
