Sweet thoughts

Susan smiled and began to sing sweetly to herself as she continued with preparing the food. The idea of a family life really was a thought that made her very happy.

It surprised her to realise that she knew that, even if Charlie failed to reverse the transformation, she would still have something to look forward to. If she could not become a father as Fred then at least she still had the possibility that she could become a mother. While that idea made what was left of Fred shiver a little it did still bring a sense of comfort that a normal life might be possible.

Living as we do, in a world where magic is part of life, is it really so strange that a life might leap from one route to another? Fred/Susan knew that the ability to adapt to such changes was part of the bravery expected of a knight, even if he might not be one in the future
