Bruno's Real Form

As promised, Bruno returns Fred's stuff and gives him a little extra something to aid in his quest to battle the dragon.

"A rock?" Fred asks. He is getting mad.

"No! No! Look!" Bruno cries and clutches the rock hard. Suddenly Bruno was gone, replaced by a large boulder.

Then...Bruno was back.

"Where did that large boulder go?"

"Me! This rock had been hit by a changing spell, allowing one to take on the properties of it. You literally become the rock!

Fred escorts Bruno to the cave mouth and sends him on his way. Fred stores the rock and continues past the point where he first met Bruno.

The passageway soon ended in an ornate overhang. Past it was an amazing sight. Dozens of gears, each the size of most castles rotated. Levers bigger then dragons themselves went up and down and up and down. It was brain-numbing sound, just on the safety side of intolerable.

A complicated warren of walkways and ladders wound about the machinery, allowing access, presumably for engineers.

Fred wandered what this was all about. Should he continue through the machinery, take that branching passageway over there or go back the way he came?

1. Continue.
2. Take that corridor over there.
3. Go back the way he came.
4. Uh oh. Voices! Use the rock!
5. Fred is discovered.
