"Well," said Campbell, "having tested your drug on the rats and
decided it was safe to try it out on human beings--" He gave Stacy a
sympathetic smile when she winced at this, and went on: "You put out a
call for volunteers. By the way, I hate to say this, but I had a look
at the waiver you had people sign, and I kind of doubt it'll stand up
in court." Stacy winced again. "Anyway, as you know, you tested it
on four people, counting yourself. I've got names and addresses for
the other two if you're interested. Now, you told me..." He paused
to shuffle through some notes. "Ah, here we go. You told me that
four people wasn't enough of a sample to be scientifically
significant, but you figured it was a start, and you hoped to try it
on more people later. You never did, of course." "Thank goodness for that!" interjected Donald. "Yeah, well," Campbell went on, "I've got some technical notes here, too." He handed Stacy a piece of paper. "That's the chemical formula for the drug, or so you said. Means nothing to me, of course..." Stacy looked at the formula written on the paper.
