Stacy was naturally eager to find out something about herself.
Campbell told her that she was twentyseven. She was an only child who
had grown up in New Mexico (her
parents still lived in Las Cruces), then had done a chemistry degree at
the University of
New Mexico, and following that a doctorate - specialising in organic
chemistry -
at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Then she had stayed
on as
an assistant professor, had developed her anti-ageing drug, and had tested
it on the rats.
Then her phenomenal memory had won her a lot of money on a TV quiz show,
which had allowed
her to quit her job, move to New York and start a trial of her drug on
humans.
"OK," said Stacy.
