The chains holding Exotica to the wall soon gave way to the magic of the
two sorcreresses. Adele then sacrificed the wide sleeves of her robe, which
were quickly fashioned into a very short skirt and bikini-style top for the
Allarian princess. Adele groused that only the girls' clothing was being
cannibalized, while the men stayed fully dressed. Matthias quickly pointed
out that he, wearing tough leather armor, and Fred, wearing a combo of
leather and mail, couldn't exactly cut their clothing up easily. "Besides,
I think you look cute like that." he added with a smirk.
Adele punched him playfully in the arm, blushing and smiling. He pulled her close and kissed her. "Oh, get a room, you two!" Elaine said, rolling her eyes. "Later, maybe." Adele shot back with a smirk, clearly enjoying this. "Of all the...nevermind. Come on we need to keep moving." The party, whose number had now swelled to seven, retreated down the corridor, lest the dragon return and find them. Sigin led them down a side passage he had learned from his years wandering the caves, where they could stop and rest for a spell. At this point, proper introductions between Exotica and the other members of the group were made, and she was brought up to speed on the current situation. "I don't understand this dragon's game." Fred mused. "Astra, it seems, was ensnared when she came to the caves to fight the dragon. Exotica, on the other hand, was simply snatched away from her kingdom, but why?" "Perhaps as punishment to my father for sending a dragonslayer against him?" Exotica offered. "Unlikely." Sigin replied. "Minestus would be more likely amused than angry over such a thing. No offense meant, Lord D'Honaire, but had you faced Minestus alone he would have made short work of you. He is no base, animalistic wyrm, but a powerful and ancient dragon-mage." Astra cleared her throat, then posed a question to Sigin (and indirectly to Adele, Elaine, and Matthias as well). "How did you all come to be prisoners of the dragon? What brought you to these caves 800 years ago?" "Indeed," added Fred, "Especially given that they are so far from your Empire's former lands. Were you snatched away from your homes, like Princess Exotica was?" "I suppose an explanation is warranted." Elaine said, glancing nervously at her companions. "Very well..."
