Awaiting the Reporter

Stacy didn't much like the idea of handing this reporter a story that
reflected so negatively on her, but she liked the alternative even less.
And, besides, if he had information that could be of use to her, it would
be wrong not to try and enlist his help. So, reluctantly, she agreed. He
put her on hold for a while, apparently while he arranged transportation to
Albuquerque, then announced that he would be flying in the next morning.
She agreed to meet him at the airport, and he provided her his flight
info. Donald and Debbie suggested that she could spend the night with
them, rather than going back to Socorro only to come back in the morning.
Stacy figured Donald still just wanted to "keep an eye on her," but she was
grateful, anyway. They passed an awkward but uneventful evening, and in
the morning Donald drove her to the airport.
