The man argued with her for another couple of minutes, but Stacy remained adamant. Eventually, he gave in. "OK, OK, go look at your notes. But don't take too long, OK? Every second is vital! Meet me back here when you're done."

"Deal!" said Stacy, and (since every second was vital, apparently), got up, left the coffee shop, and made her way back to her office to peruse the notes on the amnesia story she'd noticed before, but hadn't had time to look at yet [7073].

  1. She found something that did look like evidence of a conpiracy.
  2. But there was nothing in her notes that seemed to back up the man's strange story.
  3. But the notes were gone!
