The Doctor made a disgusted noise. "Hypnotized!" he said. "The Master's doing." (Wow, Stacy thought, Did I look like that?) The Doctor grabbed the fellow by the shoulders and shook him slightly, looking deeply into his eyes. "Wake up, man! Your mind is your own! Your own! Fight the Master's influence!"

1. But the man, still with the same blank look on his face, pulled out a gun and held it on them.
2. The man shook his head, then looked around in confusion. "What... What's going on?"
3. "Wait!" exclaimed the brown-haired Betty. "I know this man! Let me talk to him."
4. While the Doctor was distracting the man, the red-haired Betty pushed past him and ran into the building.
